Match 2.
Portu-Goal Scorers

P-GS vs. "The Cocky, Dirty Team That Got Lucky"

Fresh off victory from the previous round, despite still missing Kunz and the Mystery Man; the arrival of new signing Gavan Sticka brought new confidence to the team. Slightly intimidated by their opposition's classy uniforms and warm-up routine, the P-GS tried to remain focused on the task ahead. The squad was strengthened further when Alex Morgan joined on loan from the "Red Deroes" to play in goals and allow the remaining 5 a chance for a breather with a substitute.

The Game went on for some time before the P-GS went 1-0 down. This came as a surprise due to the amazing shot ratio of around 10-1 that would suggest a reversal in the scoreline.
However, P-GS rallied to find the equaliser, a sublime inch-perfect Mackay ball from the back court, to connect with Sticka running at full pace, burying it in the net - scoring on debut.

Again, there was quite some time before the next goal. With a display of refereeing that can only be described as attrocious, the P-GS were found to be giving away penalties their opposition was being applauded for doing. At one stage Mackay's knee was kicked in from behind - resulting in the whistle being blown. To his surprise however, the penalty was against him. "I was disappointed with a few of the referee's decisions, not the least of which being the dubious call that I was at fault for being hacked at. The game only suffers when both players and referees are allowed to perform that way."

Perhaps taking the game, and the situation they were in too lighly, the P-GS again conceded, and this time, they also conceded the game. The first loss of the season maybe, but definately not outplayed.

An official after the game made this statement; "Our thanks must go to Alex (Morgan) for his outstanding performance in goals. We were unlucky today, and will benefit greatly from the return of Kunz."

A brief statement - and a vast contrast to the jubilation of last week's win. However, there is now a 2 week break, and I'm sure strategy will be re-evaluated, and we will see a new, improved P-GS on their return.
