The P-GS have always been a charitable club, willing to help the disadvantaged, and give the not-so-good players out there an opportunity to play at an elite level. That is why the "Disadvantaged Athlete Encouragement Scheme" was established last year. It means one disadvantaged athlete each year will get the chance to play with the P-GS. He will also combine with D'Silva and Kunz in the 'Portuguese Connection.'
"We're happy to have found someone who fits the criteria of the scheme. Paul is surely disadvantaged enough by his lack of skill, and so we are happy to give him the opportunity to play this year."
The team will surely benefit from his ability to run for over 10 metres, and bring water on the field. He will also help by acting as a shield should a fight break out - and we look forward to having him with us.
