A uniform should not be thought of as a restriction, or something that is a chore to wear. This is because the uniform symbolises the togetherness of the team, and the spirit that brings that team together as one. Uniforms that are of poor quality, or are worn dishevelled and untidy usually reflect the attitude of the team - and hence their results.
As the P-GS are strong beleivers in the ideals of team spirit - it was a consensus throughout the club that only the best in uniform would be fitting for the best on the pitch. Due to this, a young business from the local area was commissioned to make shirts specific to their needs. This partnership was looking to be one of success until it came down to the crunch. The season was starting - and the company could not provide the quality promised in the time frame stipulated. A new approach was needed.
A special think-tank was formed to create a viable option. Considering the heat experienced in the centre, it was necessary the shirts be lightweight and breathable. It was also necessary that the shirts be recognisable, and personalised to set the team apart.
The end result saw "Bonds" taken on as another sponsor - supplying the squad with the lightweight, breathable shirts needed, and so the P-GS official colour of White is now concrete. A host of graphic designers competed for the chance to create a team logo - with a young local man winning out, and this will be printed on the shirts.
It would seem P-GS have found the uniform equal to their ability, and should be ready for use by their round 3 match. This round will also be memorable as both Kunz and the new Mystery Signing will be available for the first time. Ironic, as the first week the P-GS have a uniform, will be the first week they are all together. This truly demonstrates the power of a good strip - and I must say I find it hard to see the P-GS losing a match for the rest of the season.
